🇩🇪 A spoonful of German culture
Germany has a remarkable number of opera houses. Not just big cities but many medium-sized towns have a theatre that puts on opera, ballet and drama under one roof.
The dress code is more relaxed than you might expect. Unless it's a premiere (Premiere) or a gala, smart casual is usually fine, and coats and big bags normally go to the Garderobe.
German theatres often stage classics in bold, modern ways. So after the show, people love to ask, ‘Wie fandest du die Inszenierung?’ 🎭
✅ Quick quiz
