Today's ten words cover a normal morning from the first ring to the front door. With them you can talk through your whole routine in German — and even explain why you're late. ⏰

🇩🇪 A spoonful of German culture
Many Germans start the day early. It depends on the job, but starting work before seven isn't unusual, and school usually begins around eight.
Weekday breakfast is often simple: bread with butter, jam or cheese. Weekends are different. Fetching fresh Brötchen from the local bakery (Bäckerei) and eating them slowly with a soft-boiled egg is a small ritual in lots of homes.
That's why many bakeries open on Sunday mornings, even when almost everything else is closed. A queue outside the bakery on a Sunday is a very German sight. 🥨
