🇩🇪 A spoonful of German culture
Germany has a remarkable number of orchestras and opera houses. Even smaller towns often have their own theatre, and many venues offer reduced tickets for students and young people.
At a concert, people usually don't clap between movements (Sätze) — they wait until the whole piece is over. If you're unsure, just follow the people around you.
The dress code is more relaxed than you might think. Some people dress up, but plenty come in smart everyday clothes. At the end the applause often goes on for a long time, and you may hear a few “Bravo!”s. 👏
