How to use it

Says that differences in N don't matter; clause 2 applies to all cases (often with 누구나, 모두, 언제나). Formal; N을/를 불문하고 means the same.

Forming it

Fixed form: ✗ 막론해서, ✗ 막론하여도. Typical nouns: 이유, 나이, 국적, 지위, 남녀노소, 동서고금.

Examples

• 이 노래는 남녀노소를 막론하고 누구나 좋아해요.

  Everyone, young and old, men and women, loves this song.

• 이유를 막론하고 폭력은 용서할 수 없습니다.

  Whatever the reason, violence cannot be forgiven.
