N에 의하면
according to N (citing a source)

How to use it
Introduces the source of information. The sentence usually ends in a hearsay form: -다고 해요, -대요, -다고 합니다. N에 따르면 means the same.

Don't confuse it with N에 의해(서) 'by N' (agent of a passive).
Examples
일기 예보에 의하면 내일 비가 온대요.
According to the weather forecast, it'll rain tomorrow.
최근 조사에 의하면 혼자 사는 사람이 늘고 있다고 합니다.
According to a recent survey, the number of people living alone is increasing.
Compared with similar patterns
N에 따라(서) (G3-045) means 'depending on / in accordance with', not 'according to (a source)'. -ㄴ/는대요 (G3-040) is the hearsay ending that often goes with it.
