How to use it
Presents something as one possible outcome. Also used to accept a situation: 그럴 수도 있죠 (That can happen).
Forming it
| 늦다 | → 늦을 수도 있어요 |
| 오다 | → 올 수도 있어요 |
| 그렇다 | → 그럴 수도 있어요 |
| 학생 | → 학생일 수도 있어요 |
Examples
길이 막히면 조금 늦을 수도 있어요.
I might be a little late if there's traffic.
그럴 수도 있죠. 너무 걱정하지 마세요.
That can happen. Don't worry too much.
Compared with similar patterns
-(으)ㄹ 수 있다 means can (ability or possibility); with 도 it becomes 'could also / might'. -(으)ㄹ지도 모르다 sounds less certain.
