🇩🇪 A spoonful of German culture

For many Germans the bakery is an almost daily stop. A classic weekend scene is someone fetching warm Brötchen in the morning for a family breakfast.

In most states supermarkets close on Sundays, but many bakeries open on Sunday mornings. Opening hours depend on the state and the shop, so it's worth checking.

Small neighbourhood bakeries sometimes still take cash only, so keep a few coins handy. 🪙
