SEVENTEEN has a new unit. On Monday, October 19, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST, members Jeonghan and Joshua debuted as JxJ with their first mini album, DREAMSCAPE, and a music video for the title track "12 o'clock."

The album

DREAMSCAPE has seven tracks and plays with the line between the dreams we have while asleep and the dreams we chase while awake. According to the duo, the songs are meant to be heard as one connected story, with metaphors hidden along the way. Joshua was closely involved in production, and some songs made during the process did not make the final track list.

The title track "12 o'clock" is a dance-rock song that reworks the disco and funk sounds of the 1970s and 80s. The music video teaser, released the day before, used dreamlike images such as a train that looks covered in snake scales and a wide, peaceful meadow.

In interviews around the release, both members said they wanted JxJ to have its own identity, since SEVENTEEN has already introduced several units. Jeonghan described feeling nervous but excited to be back on stage and meet fans, while Joshua said the project had given him new goals.

What's next

The duo has announced a tour titled JEONGHAN X JOSHUA JOURNEY INTO [DREAMING]. One confirmed stop is Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Arena on February 20–21, 2027 (as of October 2026; check official channels for the full schedule).

Korean from the title

The album's theme makes it a nice chance to learn one of the most-used words in Korean songs and dramas: 꿈 (kkum) – dream. It covers both meanings, just like in English:

  • 꿈을 꾸다 (kkumeul kkuda) – to have a dream (while sleeping). Literally "to dream a dream."
  • 꿈을 이루다 (kkumeul iruda) – to achieve a dream.
  • 꿈이 뭐예요? (kkumi mwoyeyo?) – "What's your dream?" (polite). A classic interview question for idols.

And the title track? Twelve o'clock in Korean is 열두 시 (yeoldu si). Hours use native Korean numbers (하나, 둘 … 열둘), so "12 o'clock" is 열두 시, not 십이 시.
