How to use it
In writing and formal speech, it lists facts like -고 ('and') or shows two actions happening at the same time like -(으)면서 ('while').

Examples

He read a book while listening to music.

Compared with similar patterns
-고 (G1-009) and -(으)면서 (G2-008) are the everyday spoken forms; -(으)며 sounds written or formal.
