How to use it
'As soon as': -는 대로 + a plan, promise or request (future). 'As/like': -(으)ㄴ/는 대로 = in the same way as (들은 대로, 시키는 대로); N대로.
Forming it
| 도착하다 | → 도착하는 대로 |
| 듣다 | → 들은 대로 |
| 말하다 | → 말한 대로 |
| 순서 | → 순서대로 |
The 'as soon as' use is not for past events: ✗ 집에 도착하는 대로 잤어요 → 도착하자마자 잤어요.
Examples
집에 도착하는 대로 연락할게요.
I'll contact you as soon as I get home.
선생님이 말한 대로 한번 해 보세요.

Compared with similar patterns
-자마자 works for past and future and for any sentence type; -는 대로 ('as soon as') is for future actions.
